I'm a graduate from Wayne State University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in English and triple minored in Latin American Studies, Creative Writing, and Criminal Justice! In the summer of '23 I attended the Denver Publishing Institute where I met Stephanie, our social media coordinator. I'm currently seeking employment in the publishing and digital marketing field. I'm also a poet, and I enjoy writing pieces that focus on embodying the world around us while serving as a voice for Latinas, women in military service, and first generation students.
In the month of June 2018, I signed my contract with the Michigan Army National Guard, and left for 5 months of training in September 2018. I serve my home station as a Motor Transportation Specialist. In October of 2021, I was nominated as a member of the Homecoming Court, proudly representing first generation students, Latinas, and women in the military service, such as myself.
When I'm not busy producing pieces or serving, I enjoy hanging with friends, reading, writing (yes, on my free time), doing my nails, listening to music, and playing on my Nintendo Switch!

Hi! I'm Stephanie Jasso, the Social Media Content Coordinator for The Finer Details. I create Instagram posts about the blog and post on our Instagram page, @thefinerdetails_ablog. I'm from Santa Ana, California where I graduated from California State University Fullerton in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Women and Gender Studies. This past summer '23 I attended the University of Denver Publishing Institute, where I met Alondra. My dream is to work in the publishing industry to help amplify stories for and by people of color. For now other than running social media for this blog, I work as a Bilingual Tutor for the Santa Ana Public Library. Working there has given me immense appreciation for library cards because it's basically free books! So much so that I have 3 different library cards, my friends tease me and say I "collect them like Pokemon cards"!
Thanks for your support!
