After graduating from Wayne State University with my Bachelors in English and triple minoring in Latin American Studies, Creative Writing, and Criminal Justice, I enrolled into a summer intensive graduate program at the University of Denver. Here, my program of study was publishing, and Iearned the ins and outs of the publishing industry. Upon returning to Michigan, I applied to the Masters in Communications program at Wayne State University, where I'm in the process of completing my program.
I've had the privilege of working for many different agencies. Prior to picking communications and publishing, I gained years of Criminal Justice experience, working for the city police department, the Michigan State Troopers, and even enlisting into the Army. I took the unique experiences I gained from these jobs and my extensive education to create new communications and marketing oriented content.
In my current position at 826 Michigan as a Communications Intern, I create engaging content for our organization, using tools like Canva to develop unique posts and images. I also am a Program Assistant at COE Upward Bound at Wayne State University. Prior to my work here, I was a Social Media Manager and Content Creator for an up and coming author. Here I focused on engaging with a target audience with authenticy.
The name is inspired by New York City's Garment District — a hub of creativity, hustle, and timeless style. While I don’t work in fashion, I’ve always been drawn to the energy and reinvention that space represents. 77th Avenue is my way of channeling that same spirit into my work: bold, thoughtful, and always evolving. It reflects my passion for storytelling, design, and strategy — and my commitment to building work that feels both sharp and lasting.
